A year after one of their identical twin daughters, Lydia, dies in an accident, Angus and Sarah Moorcraft move to a tiny Scottish island Angus inherited from his grandmother, hoping to put together the pieces of their shattered lives. Angus is forced to travel away for work, leaving Sarah feeling isolated, while their surviving daughter, Kirstie, is growing more disturbed, claiming that in fact she is Lydia, and her parents have mistaken her identity.
Much of this tense, psychological thriller, written by London-based Sean Thomas writing under the pseudonym S K Tremayne, is set around the Sleat Peninsula on Skye and is said to be the next “Gone Girl.”
A creepy thriller that may make you question how well you know your own children, it’s understood that the publisher has been in talks over film rights which could bring yet another movie to Skye.
