This book hit the bookshelves in style after being launched at Inverness Town House with Provost Councillor Helen Carmichael making an opening address along with acting chief executive for Scottish Natural Heritage, Susan Davies.
The book is a visual feast with photographs by internationally renowned photographer and local resident, Nick Sidle. His images take readers into the magical world of Glen Convinth, an area west of Inverness in a spectacular part of the Highlands. The book was designed by four other local residents, Cathy MacRitchie, Sandra MacRae, Frances Baxter and Denise Davies – a retired postlady, a library technician and two artists and includes scientific information, legends, quotations, poetry and contributions from other members of the local community.
