Former Press and Journal reporter, John Duckers, has published his second children’s book, The Crazy Adventures of the Silly Six which follows on from, The Amazing Adventures of the Silly Six which was illustrated by children from Alford Primary School and featured the mischief and antics of a group of friends.
They include, Angus McMonty, a snake who is really a softie, Felicity, the very upmarket dog, Suzi, the almost sensible cat, Percy, the timid parrot, Nasher, the fearless hamster, and slightly quirky Mole. While the first book was set in the north of Scotland, this time the pals look to blast off into space and are scared out of their wits during a visit to a ghostly castle.
Aimed at children aged 6-12, the book will once again raise money for a good cause, this time for Performances Birmingham, a registered charity that provides pportunities for thousands of children to experience the world of music.
