Highland folk legend Fergie MacDonald will hit the stage at Eden Court next month to celebrate his life long career in music.
The 81-year-old renowned Ceilidh King will be joined by an all-star musical line up on May 5 for his show “Age is Just a Number: The Life and Times of a Modern-day Musical Legend”.
During the show at Eden Court, he will engage in conversation with BBC Radio Scotland presenter and musician Gary Innes talking about his journey through the years before performing some of his most iconic songs.
He said: “Turning 80 was a big milestone for me and the festivities were resounding – so much so that the celebrations haven’t quite come to a stop. I’m delighted to be able to bring the party to Inverness and take a wander into the past, revisiting my musical highlights with a Highland crowd. I hope people can join me there.”
Musicians including Allan Henderson, Colm O’Rua, Hugh MacCallum and Alasdair Macleod will be among those to join him on stage.
Mr Innes added: “Fergie is a legend in his own right and has become so well known over the years. The respect and affection he has gained is richly deserved and I’m looking forward to sitting down with the one and only Fergie at Eden Court this May.”
