Rock legends AC/DC are coming back to Scotland next year, and intend making a triumphant return to Glasgow’s Hampden Park on Sunday, June 28, to celebrate the release of their new album, Rock or Bust. The highly anticipated album was released earlier this month and is the band’s 50th internationally released studio album.
The Australian hard-rock band was formed in 1973, by Scottish brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who continued as members until Malcolm’s illness and departure earlier this year. For next year’s tour, he’ll be replaced by his nephew Stevie Young.
The band, who celebrated their 40th anniversary last year, are regarded as one of the best-selling groups of all time, with a total of more than 200million albums sold worldwide.
They say they are delighted to be returning to play Scotland’s national stadium.
