When does your weekend start?
Thursday night. It’s the new Friday night, apparently.
Perfect night in?
I’m into cooking so it would have to involve cooking an amazing recipe. Something from the likes of Yotam Ottolenghi or somebody of that ilk. My close friends round, obviously some top tunes and, last but not least, some good booze. Definitely a nice bottle of single malt whisky.
Perfect night out?
Probably not too different from the perfect night in, actually, but in an amazing location. As long as there are close friends and family, good drinks and music, I’m happy. Someone else can cook, though. Preferably somewhere hot.
Ideal weekend partner?
My wife.
Favourite weekend shopping destination?
New York City. Not just for clothes. There is also an amazing double-bass shop in Manhattan.
Favourite place to walk?
Yorkshire. I was born and raised in Yorkshire and my mum and dad still live there. It has beautiful countryside.
Weekend you’d love to live again?
I loved playing at Glastonbury a few years ago on the West Holts Stage.
Weekend you’d hate to live again?
Recently, we did six flights in under three days, including pre-5am starts. That was pretty tough.
Perfect Sunday breakfast?
Perfectly cooked poached eggs on toast and plenty of fresh, strong coffee.
Your cure for the Sunday blues?
The perfect Bloody Mary.
Your dream weekend (if money was no object)?
A weekend in Iceland collaborating on a track with Bjork would rank pretty high for all of us.
