X Factor winner Joe McElderry and former Sugababe Amelle Berrabah are part of an all-star cast that will grace the stage at His Majesty’s Theatre next year.
Casting was announced today for the world premiere of Club Tropicana the Musical by Michael Gyngell, which comes to Aberdeen from February 11 to 16.
Director of programming and creative projects for Aberdeen Performing Arts, Ben Torrie, said tickets to the show have been “flying out the door” since they went on sale.
He said: “There is a lot of anticipation and excitement about this show coming to HMT, and to have such a talented cast on board is fantastic news for our audiences.
“It’s going to be a fun, feel-good night out and just the thing to blow the winter blues away next February.”
The show, set against a backdrop of tracks from bands including Bucks Fizz, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and A-Ha, follows a budding bride and groom who both get cold feet before the big day.
They decide to jet off to sunnier climes – but little do they know they’ve checked into the same hotel.
