The devilishly-thrilling tale of The Exorcist has been adapted for stage and will visit Eden Court this November.
The performance tells of the desperate plea of a mother to have her daughter’s strange symptoms addressed – however, as professional medical help fails, a local priest is consulted for help.
But before Father Damien can tackle what is before him, he must first overcome his own shaken beliefs as the fight is for more than just one girl’s soul.
Complete with a cast of recognisable talent, the show will visit Inverness from November 12 for four nights, with the voice of the demon being delivered by none other than Sir Ian McKellen, whose illustrious award-winning stage and screen career has seen him star in Hollywood blockbusters such as X-Men and The Lord of the Rings.
Father Merrin will be played by Bafta award-winner Paul Nicholas, with Sophie Ward, recognisable for her roles in Holby City and Heartbeat, playing Chris MacNeil.
The film adaptation is widely considered as one of the scariest movies of all time and sparked unprecedented worldwide controversy upon its release in 1973.
Catch it at Eden Court from November 12-16.
