Fleeman Productions is presenting a hilarious evening of dark Doric comedy across the north-east this week.
The north-east theatrical group’s double feature Dee’in Fine, which heads for Laurencekirk tonight, ACT Aberdeen tomorrow, and Culter on Saturday, kicks off with Nicht Shades – Sheena Blackhall and Les Wheeler’s irreverent comedy which features some ghostly characters romping around St Nicholas Kirkyard who will have the audience laughing and singing. The play was a runner-up in the Barron Prize for Doric Drama.
The second part of the evening will be a performance of Charles Barron’s Not With a Whimper – a characteristically insightful comedy from the late north-east playwright set in an unnamed Aberdeen hospice as two old people reach the end of their lives. Witty, touching and brilliantly funny.
Dee’in Fine runs at Dickson Hall, Laurencekirk, tonightThurs 29, ACT Aberdeen, tomorrow Friday January 30 at 7.30pm, and Culter Village Hall on Saturday31 Jan. Tickets are available from the venues.
