The sequel to the hilarious, adults-only comedy show 51 Shades of Maggie is about to descend on Inverness and is proving so popular that an extra performance has been added to the schedule.
This time, the outrageous, lovelorn man-eater Maggie Muff returns in 52 Shades of Maggie – Dirty Dancin’ in the Pub. A brand-new play, it has been written by Leesa Harker and stars BBC sketch comedy Burnistoun star Kirsty Strain as Maggie. The dust has settled in the estate after the shenanigans of Maggie’s last adventure and now she and her idiot sidekick, Big Sally-Ann, are planning a birthday party in the pub.
Big Sally-Ann’s dream is to dance to the last dance from Dirty Dancing at the party – but she can’t find her rhythm, or a dress, or a swimsuit that fits. And as if that’s not enough, big Igor “the dogger” gets lifted and deported. Maggie comes to the rescue, but, in her world, things don’t always run as smoothly as planned.
Will Maggie find love and will her and Sally-Ann’s friendship survive? And more important, will audiences be able to stop laughing?
52 Shades of Maggie is at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness tomorrow, Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, with performances at 8pm. Due to demand, an extra matinee performance has been added and will take place at 4pm on Saturday, April 11. Contact: 01463 234234 and www.eden-court.co.uk
