Diane Lockhart is back and better than ever in the first footage from The Good Wife’s spin-off show The Good Fight.

Christine Baranski is back in the role as the tough lawyer, alongside Cush Jumbo as Lucca Quinn and new addition Rose Leslie as Maia Rindell.

Rose has left Westeros behind for the brutal courtrooms of Chicago in the exciting looking teaser.

Picking up one year after the final episode of The Good Wife, an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of Rose’s character Maia, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane’s savings.

The trailer shows Diane fighting not just in court but also in the boardroom.

The Good Fight will premiere on CBS in the US on February 19, with the rest of the episodes available on streaming service CBS All Access.

Leslie featured in the first series of Downton Abbey as housemaid Gwen before landing a role in HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones.

She spent her childhood at Lickleyhead Castle, at Auchleven, near Insch.
