An annual exhibition in Deeside has celebrated a successful opening week.
Art Aboyne runs every year in the village’s Victory Hall and presents a wide-ranging selection of works from across the north-east.
This year there are close to 50 different people exhibiting everything from paintings to sculptures and 3D displays.
Scores of people have already been through its doors.
Lorna Purves is a member of the organising committee and has been helping out at the event.
She said: “It’s been well attended so far, there’s been a mixture of locals who come every year and holiday-makers too – the good thing for them is they can pick up anything they buy there and then.
“It’s been running for about 15 years under this name and prior to that under a different one.
“I think we always keep it to a very high standard and it’s got a very good reputation.
“People come back again and again because they have bought nice work in the past.”
The exhibition runs every day from 10am-6pm and finishes on August 12.
