A group of Moray artists are hosting their third exhibition, as they look to showcase their work to a wider audience.
Burghead Art Group are organising the show after two previous events proved to be a success – with the most recent held in winter last year.
This year’s will showcase art in a variety of different forms including watercolours, prints and photographs.
Some of the work will feature local scenes, with Burghead harbour proving a popular source of inspiration for the artists.
The gallery will be staffed by the artists, who will provide background information about the images as they are being shown.
One of the artists, Mandy Middler, who paints abstract art as a hobby, said that the event was the highlight of her year as an artist.
She said: “I look forward to it every year – most of my friends will come along.
“This is the only place I have shown my work so far but one day I would like to expand.”
Organiser Keith Remnant said that the event was the biggest that the group would run all year, and added that he expected a large number of visitors over the course of the week.
He said: “Our previous events were a great success, they were very popular – so people will visit from all over the place.
“The artists are all from the local area, and for most of them it’s just a hobby.”
The free week-long event will start this Saturday, August 12 and will run until August 19, between noon and 5pm every day.
The exhibition will be held at the Old Bakery Studio in the town.
