Volunteers at a country park have launched a project to bring a trail of public artworks to the north-east.
The Friends of Aden Park have said that the move follows “popular demand” from visitors to the Mintlaw park for outdoors sculptures.
The group has now appointed artists and designers from Icecream Architecture to sketch out a proposal for how the scheme can be realised in the coming years.
Hazel Weeks, Friends of Aden group said: “We are really keen to engage with the local community to find out their ideas and opinions regarding public art.
“It’s an exciting new creative project for the park, one in which we hope the public will enjoy being part of.”
To kick start the initiative, artists will take up residence at Aden between October 21-23 to hear the views of the visiting public.
They will host a series of free events including a “detective walk” to map out the park on Wednesday from 4pm.
Friends of Aden Park and the artists will also visit the neighbouring villages in the run up to Christmas to lay out their vision for a sculpture trail.
It is understood that a series of temporary artworks will be installed by summer 2016 while plans for permanent sculptures are thrashed out.
Icecream Architecture took its name from the food van the firm was launched in five years ago.
