A festive family has got into the holiday spirit early this year by putting their decorations up seven week before Christmas.
The five-member strong Morton family began decking their halls with Christmas cheer on November 3 and finally finished sprucing up their tree at the weekend.
Their house, in Hull, East Yorks., is now jam-packed with tinsel, luminous snowflakes and fairy lights and honours a three-generation long family tradition.
Son Steve – who lives in the winter wonderland with his brother Will, 29, his parents, Billy, 49 and Audrey, 51, and his grandmother, Edna, 73 – said decorating their home so early was a special tradition for the family.
Steve, 28, said: “It’s always been a special thing to the family. We’ve been doing this all my life and my parents did it when they were little.
“We started putting everything up on November, 3, before Bonfire Night, and we’ve just finished it off with the Christmas tree this weekend.”
