Where: This year’s charity tournament, sponsored by Norse, saw 124 golfers take to Peterculter Golf Course in a bid to secure the champions’ title as well as raising valuable funds for the charity. The victories on the course were celebrated at the Gala Dinner where 240 guests enjoyed the hospitality laid on at the Marcliffe Hotel.
Who: It was attended by delegates from across the oil and gas sector in a bid to raise awareness and funds for Friends of Anchor. Simmons & Company International Ltd placed first in the tournament and were presented with the coveted Friends of Anchor Gala Golf Event champions’ trophy.
Why: The golf day is one of the biggest fundraising events in Friends of Anchor’s annual calendar. This year had a record high audience and topped the charity’s fundraising record to date for the event. Importantly, every penny raised will stay local and make a direct difference to the lives of those fighting a cancer diagnosis in the north-east.
