A jam-packed programme of activities for all ages, celebrating the Commonwealth Games, Homecoming and John Muir, is on offer at the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick.
Professor Egghead will host two different science shows to keep visitors, young and old, inspired about making the most of the great outdoors.
At the Seaside Science Show (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm), the impact of humans on the natural world will be explored, with top tips on how we can ensure our survival.
At The Survival of the Fittest (Saturdays and Sundays, 2pm), Teresa the turtle, Tommy the tern and Percy the puffin will help the professor explore what it takes to survive in the wild.
Tickles the clown will host The Survival of the Fittest (Fridays, 2pm), when she will explore healthy bodies and sustainable food sources. At her Clownathon (Saturdays at 4pm) there will be games, magic and winners’ medals.
G.J. Wildlife will lead family-friendly photography sessions on Sundays (noon), with top tips on how to capture amazing images of wildlife in their natural habitat.
In addition to these interactive shows, there are special trails, puzzles and crafts all day, every day in the Discovery Centre, plus the chance to zoom in on the amazing wildlife action with the interactive live cameras on the Firth of Forth islands.
