Who: More than 160 guests from across the region attended the charity ball – the last to be held at the Marcliffe before it closes its doors later this year. Among the notable guests on the evening was the Chief Executive Officer of Guide Dogs, Richard Leaman, who travelled up from the organisation’s Reading headquarters especially to attend.
Why: The popular annual event was held in aid of the guide dogs charity, with all money raised going towards ensuring that blind and partially sighted people in Scotland enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.
The evening kicked off with a Pimms reception, after which guests were seated for a meal, followed by an auction and raffle. A prize of six bottles of Champagne was awarded for the person with the best decorated pair of sunglasses.
