What: A reception for the main sponsors of the Press and Journal Energy Ball 2014.
Where: MacLeod House and Lodge, Menie Estate, Balmedie.
Who: Those attending included Ellis Watson, chief executive of DC Thomson, Damian Bates, editor-in-chief of Aberdeen Journals, Denise West, head of commercial of DC Thomson, and a selection of guests.
Why: This was a night for the key sponsors from across the spectrum of the oil centre and business world that benefit from relationships with the sector to come together, mingle, network and have fun competing for a selection of prizes.
The reception was also a chance to celebrate the up and coming Energy Ball, which takes place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Saturday, October 4.
The glamorous event is regarded as one of the most prestigious gatherings on the Scottish social calendar and this year’s ball looks set to be another sizzling affair.
The line-up includes top UK comedian Jason Manford and the smash-hit live show Soul Legends, which features an all-star cast of truly gifted musicians, elaborate authentic costumes and jaw-dropping choreography which will make it difficult for those attending not to want to hit the king-size dance floor.
There’s still an opportunity to attend this global celebration of the energy industry and the biggest party in town.
Tables of 10 cost £1,995 excluding VAT, but they’re selling fast.
