What: A fundraising ceilidh held for the World Challenge Expedition
Where: Ritchie Hall, Strichen
Who: Two hundred tickets were sold to family, friends and colleagues who generously supported the event
Why: The ceilidh was organised by Fraserburgh Academy fourth year pupils, Melissa Buchan and Iona Hendry. The girls arranged the event to raise funds for the World Challenge Expedition which they are taking part in on June 2015 by spending four weeks in Thailand.
The girls have to raise more than £4000 each to cover travel costs and will also be used to help assist local communities in Thailand with project work including building schools and homes.
The evening was a tremendous success raising more than £3,000. The organisers would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the ceilidh.
