Over the past two nights celebrity Scottish chef Tony Singh has been wowing guests at Aberdeenshire’s Meldrum House during his exclusive dinner events.
Working alongside executive chef, Alan Clarke, the Edinburgh-born restaurateur took over the kitchen at the acclaimed hotel in Oldmeldrum to serve a five-course menu in the luxury dining domes and the Titan Sky Bar.
They were nights of quality food and entertainment, with staggered bookings every 15 minutes.
Tony’s visits played part in Meldrum’s ‘Dine with the Stars’ series of events. He was the first in a line-up of celebrity chefs heading for the hotel this year.
With just 50 tickets, priced at £160 each, available to book per evening, guests were treated to canapes and a cocktail on arrival, followed by the meal which was served with a selection of paired wines.
Dishes for the evening had a Scottish and Indian fusion and both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options were available for diners to opt for.
Tony was looking to bring “a taste of Bollywood” to the north-east and paid homage to the region’s top produce including langoustines, lamb and a salmon dish which was inspired by Tony’s grandmother.
