Tonight around 50 VIP guests and sponsors gathered to get a sneak preview of Taste of Grampian ahead of the event tomorrow at P&J Live.
Scotland’s biggest one-day food and drink festival will take place at the arena for the first time from 9am to 6pm.
Representatives from a variety of sponsors including Quality Meat Scotland, Opportunity North East, Aberdeenshire Council, Laings and more were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the event space and enjoyed a range of canapes and drinks.
With more than 150 exhibitors, a Kids Zone, a beer and gin garden, a Local Kitchen where north-east chefs will cook up a storm and drinks tastings taking place, there is something for all ages at the festival.
Celebrity chefs James Martin and Si King of The Hairy Bikers popped into the event after arriving in Aberdeen this evening.
They mingled with guests and were happy to answer questions about their cooking demonstrations that will take place throughout the day.
The chefs will both host three of their own demonstrations throughout the day, with tickets available to purchase tomorrow at the information desk.
A stage by Original 106FM and Kingfisher Music will welcome live acts including individual artists and bands.
Tickets for the festival are priced at £12 each and children under 12 go free. Parking at P&L Live is free tomorrow, too.
The full line-up of sponsors, including headline sponsor Quality Meat Scotland, are: Aberdeenshire Council, Royal Bank of Scotland, Brewdog, Angels Dare, Orkney Distilling, Lofthus, 1881 Distilling, Jury’s Inn, Laings, Cala, Costco, Donald Russell and Kingfisher Music.
Community Food Initiatives North East (Cfine) is the festival’s nominated charity this year and those attending are being asked to bring a tin or can of food to help replenish their food bank stocks.
