Who: More than 250 guests from across the region attended an entertainment-packed evening organised by Fiona Kennedy, including the Lonach Pipe Band, a cast of singers, actors and musicians from The Kist production, plus Paul Mealor who conducted the University of Aberdeen Chamber Choir.
Why: The event was held in aid of three locally-run charities: VSA, Fighting for Sight Aberdeen, and FROM Scotland Famine relief for orphans in Malawi.
An auction on the night, which raised £23,000, included high profile lots, such as VIP tickets to see Take That, an opportunity to meet Jools Holland and attend his concert, plus VIP tickets to see and meet Burt Bacharach in London at his concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London this June.
