S.G. MacLean, aka Shona MacLean, was born in Inverness and grew up in the Highlands where her parents were hoteliers.
She has a PhD in History from the University of Aberdeen, is the author of the Alexander Seaton and the Damian Seeker historical crime series, and has twice won the CWA Historical Dagger.
Here, the author shares her week in five pictures from the days leading up to her appearance at last month’s NessBookFest.

A bit bedraggled and windswept, finally getting my long-promised-to-myself reward of coffee and a scone from Kaput Coffee in Dingwall, for submitting my new book on time.
