There is no shortage of entertainment across the north and north-east this weekend.
Whether you fancy dancing along to Disney on Ice or chilling out on the sofa binge-watching a new series, here’s our pick of five things to do this weekend.
Disney On Ice
Popular with audiences of all ages, Disney On Ice brings its new show, Dream Big, to P&J Live in Aberdeen across the weekend.
Mickey and Minnie will be joined by other popular characters such as Moana, Elsa and Belle to bring the magic and adventure of Disney’s tales to life through world-class figure skating.
Cinderella and Rapunzel are just a few of the other classic characters that will appear in what promises to be an action-packed show.

Trail West
Hot off the heels of a sold-out anniversary show at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, Trail West hit the road north and return to Inverness’ famous Ironworks this Saturday for a lively show.
All band members hail from the Hebridean Isles of Tiree and South Uist. The music and culture they were raised on remains a pure and refreshing trademark of the sound of Trail West.
Support on the night comes from The Cast Ewe Ceilidh Band.

Watch a new streaming series
If you’re keen to move no further than your sofa this weekend, streaming series leave you spoilt for choice with things to watch.
Am I Being Unreasonable? by Daisy May-Cooper is a gripping dark comedy available on BBC iPlayer that is well worth watching for its cleverly crafted twists and turns.
Music fans should search for The Playlist on Netflix, a new mini-series around the story of Spotify, while The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, also on Netflix, makes for a spooky biographical crime drama.
Lizabett Russo
Scotland-based, Romanian-born singer-songwriter Lizabett Russo merges her native traditions with elements of contemporary jazz, avant-garde folk and world music, a range of influences spanned by her versatile voice.
Performing at The Rockfield Centre in Oban this Saturday, Russo has toured around Europe and Asia, has featured on both BBC Radio 3 and Radio 6 and will be accompanied by the award-winning jazz guitarist Graeme Stephen on the night.

Soundplay Projects work across sculpture, installation, music and sound art to make inclusive and accessible audio-visual artworks and music.
Their experiences invite people to come and play, communicate and express themselves with movement, rhythm, sound and light.
