The planning started back in August. Now, 12 hours of decorating and over 500 baubles later, a team of eight elves have transformed Trinity Centre into a festive delight.
But their work isn’t over yet. In the countdown to Christmas, they’re helping spread cheer and passing on traditions through the launch of Elf School.
Become an expert festive helper at Elf School 2022
In its fourth year for 2022, Elf School was created to offer something different for Christmas in Aberdeen.
Kenneth Bruce, operations manager at Trinity Centre, explains: “The would-be elves attend our Elf School located next to Greggs in the centre, where they will be met by our head elves. They will then take part in three activities: creating a tree decoration, making a Santa key and making a reindeer food pouch.
“They will then compete in an elf challenge, before finally graduating from Elf School when they will be given an elf name from our elf name generator, their elf hat and graduation certificate.
“For returning elves, we have introduced Advanced Elf School Training so families can return on an annual basis.”
Elf School is being delivered in conjunction with Trinity Centre’s charity partners WeToo!
The events will take place on Sunday 27 November and Sunday 4, 11 and 18 December 2022.
Potential students must book and it costs £7, plus a small booking fee. Suitable for ages 3-12. Full details on how to book are available on Trinity Centre’s Facebook and on We Too! social channels.
Find presents for the whole family (whether they’re naughty or nice!)
While future elves keep busy at school, parents and other centre visitors can shop for all Christmas essentials – including gifts!
Fashion, technology, jewellery, homeware, toys and more, there are gifts for the whole family on offer.
Keep an eye out for Christmas promotional offers, including the Calendar Club.
Eat like an elf with fantastic festive treats
Snacks and hydration are essential, whether you’re studying away at Elf School or gift shopping. Luckily, you’ll be able to find festive treats at Trinity Centre to keep you going.
Kenneth says: “Greggs have a fantastic seasonal range, from favourites like festive bakes to seasonal mint mochas, along with traditional sweet mince pies.”
