FARA are a four-piece fiddle-led band from Orkney.
Founded by Orkney frontwomen Jeana Leslie, Catriona Price and Kristan Harvey, the trio recently welcomed young Highland pianist Rory Matheson to the line-up.
The band are set to perform at Aviemore Folk Festival, taking place from Monday December 5 to Friday December 9.
In Orkney, Jeana tries her hand at furniture removal – and ends up with a broken foot for her trouble!
Having just bought her first flat in Glasgow, Kristan is getting handy with DIY this week. Send help!
Rory managed to grab a rare week at home in Assynt, but it wasn’t long before he was put out to work.
Catriona played a solo recital at The Scots Fiddle Festival in Edinburgh this week.
The event was organised by Jeana, who is currently artistic director of the festival.
We spent lots of mornings packaging and posting our new album, Energy Islands, to lovely followers across the world.
We’re so grateful to everyone who supports us by buying and listening to our music, it means a lot!
