Who: More than 170 guests came to have a great night of dinner and dancing at the annual children’s charity ball.
Why: The ball was formed by a group of friends in 2008 to raise funds for a children’s charity or groups with a significant local connection. This year the committee has chosen to support
10 local playgroups which are committee-run charity groups operating safe, happy, learning and play environments for two to five-year-olds.
On the night, £11,000 was raised, which will go towards the running costs of these groups and to maintain and enhance the facilities that they offer children and how they learn through play and
experiences.
On the night of the ball, the guests enjoyed dinner, live and silent auctions, heads and tails, and a raffle while dancing to music from Glitz.
The playgroups being supported are Auchnagatt & District Playgroup, Busy Bee’s Playgroup, Daviot Playgroup, Fyvie Playgroup, Hatton Playgroup, Maud Playgroup & Rising 5’s, Scouthall Playgroup, St Kanes Pre-school, Stuartfield Playgroup and Tarves Playgroup.
