What: Aberdeen University’s Medical School Patient Partners “thank you lunch”.
Where: Norwood Hall Hotel, Aberdeen.
Who: About 130 people attended including patient partners and representatives from the university and Gold Award team, including the Lord Provost of Aberdeen.
Why: The Patient Partners are invaluable in the training of medical students and they give up their time to allow students to practise communication and examination skills without payment. As a thank you, the university takes them out to lunch annually.
