What: The Clan Mackenzie Society of Scotland and the UK international gathering.
Where: The Town House, Inverness.
Who: Around 140 members of Clan Mackenzie attended from all over the UK, Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany.
Why: Every five years, the clan chief, or caberfeidh, invites his cousins from around the world to join him in celebrating the rich history of the Mackenzie clan. This was the fifth gathering held by the society.
Inverness Provost Helen Carmichael welcomed guests to the city, and caberfeidh John Mackenzie, Earl of Cromartie, replied on their behalf.
