Who: Organised by the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, around 130 people attended the annual ball, including society patron Sir James Forbes and his wife Lady Kerry.
Why: The ball is held annually on the Friday following the Lonach Highland Gathering and Games – staged on the fourth Saturday in August. It is a chance for society members, local residents and invited guests to celebrate the achievements of those who competed at the gathering. Guests enjoyed a four-course meal before trophies for a range of competitions were presented. Dancing was to the Graeme Mitchell Scottish Dance Band.
