Where: Meldrum House, which provided their golf course free for the day.
Who: The course was full with 72 players from companies
including Centrica, Stronachs and Amec, as well as members of Meldrum House Golf Club.
Why: The golf day was organised to raise money for two cancer charities – the Pink Ribbon Foundation and CLAN – and was sponsored by local businesses Centrica, I&K Motors, Sky-I Surveys, Mackie’s of Scotland, ARM and Combined Aqua-Cleanse.
The focus was on breast cancer, so there was at least one woman golfer on every team and there were prizes for the highest-scoring all-female team, as well as longest drives and nearest the hole.
In total, more than £7,600 was raised for the two charities.
