What: The Order of St Lazarus annual Aberdeen fundraising dinner.
Where: Trinity Hall, Aberdeen.
Who: Some 50 guests from Aberdeen and as far afield as Derbyshire and Kent, and representing charitable, heraldic and chivalric sectors, attended to raise funds for this year’s nominated charity, Royal Cornhill Hospital Trust.
This particular dinner always proves a colourful affair, with much personal heraldry on show. Guest of honour was the Lord Lyon King of Arms Dr Joe Morrow. Aberdeen chairman Duncan Cameron led the proceedings, and Royal Cornhill will benefit by more than £650.
Why: The Order of St Lazarus bears a centuries-old tradition of looking after the sick. Originally founded to care for lepers, the Order today has a wide remit in raising funds for the less fortunate.
