What: Robert Gordon University’s Christmas reception.
Where: Garthdee House at RGU’s Garthdee campus.
Who: More than 100 guests from the region’s business and civic communities attended including representatives from oil and gas companies, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils and local schools, as well as past and present members of the university’s board of governors and previous honorary graduates.
Why: The event was organised by RGU’s principal in recognition of the close relationship the university maintains with the region’s business and civic communities. Guests enjoyed a drinks reception and festive canapes, as well as a special performance from representatives of the Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society, which celebrated its 70th anniversary by singing a selection of Christmas carols from 1945.
