What: The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation (LCTF) Wee Black and Red Family Ceilidh.
Where: The Marriot Hotel, Dyce.
Who: Eighty-five guests attended the ceilidh, which was the first dinner event the charity has held in Aberdeen.
Why: The evening featured a ceilidh, raffle draw, auction and three-course dinner, and was held to raise awareness of vasculitis, a rare auto-immune disease for which there is no known cause.
The event also raised £2,000 for the charity’s objectives – support for vasculitis patients, education for the general public and medical professionals and research into the disease. The LCTF’s research is based at the University of Aberdeen, and so far the charity has committed £62,000 to the research centre.
