Where: Ardoe House Hotel and Spa, Aberdeen.
Who: The lecture was delivered by Dame Ann Dowling, president of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a BP board member. The event was
attended by 280 guests from SCDI’s membership drawn
from the north-east and across Scotland.
Why: The lecture was preceded by a networking reception and dinner. In her address, Dame Ann spoke of the benefits innovation can bring to businesses and the economy in general, and gave her thoughts on where new technology and innovation can offer gains for the North Sea oil and gas industry in the short, medium and long term.
