Everything you need to know about On The Rocks whisky festival

It is to be whisky galore again for the Outer Hebridean island made famous by a wartime booze farce.
The first whisky-themed festival in the islands, inspired by the remake of the Whisky Galore! film, is to launch next month.
On the Rocks will take place on the island of Eriskay where the SS Politician famously foundered more than 75 years ago.
It comes in the wake of the remake of the Ealing classic Whisky Galore, starring Gregor Fisher and Eddie Izzard. It tells the tale – immortalised in the novel by Sir Compton Mackenzie, who lived on neighbouring Barra – of the true life events when the SS Politician ran aground in Eriskay in 1941 with a cargo of 250,000 bottles of whisky, which was raided by islanders.
Alan MacKenzie, Islands manager for VisitScotland, said:”This festival encapsulates what makes the Outer Hebrides such a draw for visitors from all corners of the globe.
“It’s also the perfect fit that the island’s first whisky-themed festival is launched during Scotland’s year of history, heritage and archaeology.”
