MacGregor’s Bar owner Bruce MacGregor and Siberia Bar & Hotel’s director Stuart McPhee offer a taste of what you can expect the reopening of the venues to look like with these video tours.
Highland’s businessman Bruce MacGregor has given customers a behind the scenes sneak peek of what they can expect when the bar’s beer garden reopens to the public on Monday (July 6).
In the video he shares advice for guests on what a trip to MacGregor’s Bar will look like, but asks customers to be patient as they get to grips with the new hospitality experience.
The bar will only be accessible via the Academy Street entrance and customers will have to book in advance if they want to get a seat, or even a drink.
There will be plenty of hand sanitiser for guests to use and the drinks and food menu will be strategically placed at the bar, and is also available online. Drinks will be placed in recyclable containers and customers will be called when their food is ready to be collected from the bar.
The venue also prefers for all payments to be made by card.
Tables will only be available for set times, however the venue boasts an off licence where customers can purchase drinks to take home in containers. You can also purchase a range of bottle beers, gin, or other spirits.
In Aberdeen, Siberia Bar & Hotel’s director, Stuart McPhee shares his take on what reopening the venue’s roof terrace bar on Monday will also look like.
From temperature checks on entry to hand sanitiser readily available, not to mention booking only reservations with restricted numbers, the venue has processes in place to keep guests and staff as safe as possible.
Like MacGregor’s, Siberia Bar & Hotel prefers to operate with contactless payments and will also have a one-way system in place.
While the premises is usually dog-friendly, no pets will be allowed.
Siberia Bar & Hotel will also have restricted time limits initially and will have an app for customers to order through.
Toilets will be open but will be managed as effectively as possible.
