Turriff Show is making its highly-anticipated return next weekend – to the delight of fans across the UK.
Revellers at Scotland’s biggest two-day agricultural show will be welcomed through the gates on Sunday July 31 and Monday August 1.
It will be the first time the popular event has taken place at the Haughs, in Turriff, since 2019.
Turriff District Agricultural Association (TDAA), the organisers of the historic show, have dedicated their time to planning and organising its return.
It will play host to the iconic Highland Cattle National Show, which is fitting with the importance of beef in the region, as well as a vast range of activities, and hundreds of exhibitor stands.
But what will be available in terms of food and drink?
The food vendors
Foodies are welcome to take full advantage of the EQ Food and Drink Pavilion during the show.
This is a marquee that was launched in 2019 and hosted 50 stands featuring some of the best produce from Aberdeenshire, wider Scotland and beyond.
EQ Charted Accounts are the main sponsors of the marquee.
In terms of the food offering, the list is substantial.
Family-run business Haydens Woodfire Pizza, based in Newmachar, will be offering fresh pizzas over the course of the two-day event.
There will also be:
- Bannerman Butcher
- Hamlyns of Scotland
- Hoods Honey
- Ingram’s Homecure
- Kilted Fudge Company
- Lolly’s Ice Cream
- Louise’s Farm Kitchen
- Mackie’s of Scotland
- Murdoch Allan
- Portsoy Ice Cream
- Rora Dairy
- The Damn Fine Cheese Company
- Udny Provender
- Wark Farm Pies
Over the course of the two days, there will be a cookery demonstration – sponsored by QMS – with chef Gary McLean there to cook up some tasty food samples for the crowd to enjoy.
The dishes will include ingredients from local businesses exhibiting within the tent.
The drink vendors
There are also plentiful drinks businesses set to attend, too.
Whether you’re after a tipple to take home with you or gift to a friend, or enjoy a soft drink while making your way around the show, here are the businesses you can expect to find:
- Cairn O Mohr Winery
- Cairngorm Gin Company
- Ellon Spirit Company
- Esker Spirits Distillery
- Ice and Fire Distillery
- Lost Loch Spirits
- Summerhouse Drinks
- Reynolds Corporate & Cocktail
- Roehill Springs
- Highland Boundary Ltd
- Ogilvy Spirits
A royal visit
Turriff Show has secured a royal visitor – with HRH Princess Anne set to attend on the Monday August 1.
She will be going around the food and drink pavilion to meet some of the local businesses exhibiting and selling their produce.
Some of these exhibitors include Louise’s Farm Kitchen, Summerhouse Drinks, Udny Provender, Rora Dairy, Lost Loch Spirits and Ingram’s Aberdeenshire.
Turriff Show has become renowned throughout the UK as a vibrant show that celebrates the best of the region’s farming, food and heritage.
