Your social media feed never sleeps, so we have put together a list of the most Instagrammable cafes and restaurants in Aberdeenshire to keep those reels turning.

From stag-filled lounges to pink dining huts, these venues all have a touch of the X factor that will make your Tweets and posts soar.

Just point and click and you’ll be racking up the likes, shares and follows quicker than a Love Islander on the loose.

Just make sure you tag the venues into your posts – you don’t want your followers to miss out on the chance to visit some of the quirkiest destinations in the north-east.

And you can be sure that the quality of the food will match the quality of your photographs. All of these places are – first and foremost – fantastic places to eat.

Fife Arms, Braemar

The Fife Arms has built up a formidable reputation over the years, helped in part by its dramatic interiors.

Have a drink in the Flying Stag bar, overlooked by a giant stag with wings made out of dozens of ptarmigans.  Or take dinner in the Clunie Dining Rooms, a riot of tartan and modern art.

Indeed, there are show-stopping pieces of art to be discovered all over the Fife Arms. A influencer on the hunt could easily spend the day here tracking down the perfect shot.

The Flying Stag bar at the Fife Arms is spectacular.

Meldrum House, Inverurie

Eating inside the geodomes at Meldrum House is a unique experience. It’s as close as you’ll get to dining in a 1960’s sci-fi adventure film.

But the food is as out-of-this-world as the setting, so you will get your money’s worth at this Instagrammable destination.

Don’t forget to have a walk around the grounds as well. The Inverurie countryside is as beautiful as Meldrum House itself. Just watch out for the golfers and their stray balls from the hotel’s top-level golf course.

Lettuce Eat Healthy

This Peterhead cafe will have your followers green with envy. The place serves up delicious food that despite the name caters to all kinds of tastebuds.

Yes, you can get some healthy greens, but owner Lorraine Duthie also has tempting dishes such as burgers and loaded fries.

The interior, meanwhile, will have you snapping away all meal long. Lorraine has made the place look fantastic.

Banchory Lodge

Banchory Lodge opened its ‘sitooterie’ last year, much to the delight of influencers everywhere.

The outdoor dining area has a selection of huts to eat in, all of which can be booked through the lodge’s restaurant.

Most eye-catching is the pink hut, so grab it if you get the chance. You may be fighting off hoards of Instagrammers eager to put the cute little huts into their feeds.

Eat on the Green

Craig Wilson (AKA the kilted chef) has mastered the kitchen. So it is only right he should have a go at the drinks world.

This year, Craig launched his own gin, which you can order at his restaurant, Eat on the Green, in Udny Green.

Make sure you get some good snaps of your cocktail getting made. Gin is so hot right now.

Falls of Feugh

The waterfall this Banchory restaurant is named after drops almost 20ft as it follows the River Feugh under a narrow 18th Century bridge to join the River Dee.

It is a spectacular sight that people from all over the world come to see. And the best place to see it from is the Falls of Feugh restaurant just yards away.

So once you’ve captured a romantic selfie with your partner on the 100ft metal footbridge that traverses the falls (forget about fixing one of those annoying lovelocks onto the bridge) make sure you come here to sample some of the finest dishes around.

You will eat up the food along with the view.
