Bring your own bottle (BYOB) is a trend that’s becoming increasingly popular.

I for one love the concept. It means you can take your favourite tipples along with you to a food establishment and enjoy it at a lower price.

With the festive season now under way, it’s the perfect time to arrange an outing where you’re permitted to bring your own booze.

So, here’s a list of all the eateries in Inverness that are BYOB.

Mangrove

Mangrove, based on Academy Street, offers up a range of traditional dishes inspired by the flavours of India.

It features two spaces for customers – the lounge and the main restaurant area. And guests are asked to BYOB if they would like to consume alcohol.

With the venue serving crispy garlic naan fries, I can think of fewer better pairings…

Oakwood Restaurant

From September to March, the evening menu at Oakwood Restaurant – onboard the Highland Lassie – showcases the very best of locally-sourced Scottish produce which changes on a monthly basis.

For those of you that want to BYOB to the eatery, you are more than welcome to with no corkage charge.

Pre-bookings are essential as is a pre-order at least 24 hours prior to a booking.

Prime Restaurant

If you’re suffering from the Monday blues and fancy some mouth-watering food and drink to perk you up, then Prime Restaurant should be on your radar.

Lobster thermidor, Isle of Lewis mussels, and chocolate and coconut tart are among the eatery’s food offering. And to top it all off, it offers BYOB on Mondays.
