If you have a sweet tooth, this drink is for you…
You’ll all have heard of the Dalgona coffee by now, but have you tried the latest drinks craze, whipped Nutella?
Featuring one spoonful of the chocolate-hazelnut spread, double cream and milk, it’s a chocoholics dream.
Created by Miami-based food and travel content creator Valentina Mussi (@sweetportfolio), the drink is not only easy to make, but looks too good to eat… well, almost.
Unlike its cousin, the Dalgona coffee which uses instant coffee, hot water and sugar which is then all whipped together, the Nutella version requires minimal effort in comparison, with maximum reward.
Whipped Nutella
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of Nutella
- 80ml double cream
- 200ml milk
- Few squares of chocolate, garnish
Method:
- Add the Nutella and double cream into a bowl and mix, whipping it into a light, foamy cream.
- Pour milk into a glass with ice until it is two thirds of the way full.
- Add dollops of the Nutella mix on top and garnish with chocolate – you can add a chocolate biscuit, a sweet, or just simply a piece of chocolate on top.
And it’s not just Nutella you can use, you can easily swap it out for any sweet spread, including Biscoff.
Whipped Biscoff
Ingredients:Â
- 2-3 tbsp Biscoff spread, slightly melted (place in the microwave for 10-20 seconds)
- 120ml double cream
- 200ml milk
- Biscoff biscuit, to garnish
Method:Â
- Melt the Biscoff spread slightly so it is a thick paste.
- Add the spread and the double cream into a bowl and mix together, whipping into a fluffy, light cream,
- Pour milk into a glass with ice until it is two thirds of the way full.
- Add dollops of the Biscoff mix on top and garnish with a Biscoff biscuit – you can add other sweet items to garnish, too.
