After a hectic weekend of shopping and cocktails with the girls, I was in dire need of a pick-me-up, so the opportunity to review a Vinoperfect radiance facial was music to my ears.
Hidden Beauty and Spa, situated within Toni and Guy hairdressers on Union Street, Aberdeen, was my destination of choice and I was shown in to a cosy room at the back of the salon where a scented candle glowed and soothing music played in the background.
My beautician Lisa explained about the products and what I would like to get from the facial, for example: relaxing, invigorating or age-defying and also inquired on my skin type. They use products from French skincare company Caudalie which specialises in anti-ageing, body care, fragrance and masks, and prides itself on being natural and luxurious.
We plumped for the Vinoperfect Radiance facial which brightens, lightens and evens the skin while the main actions are radiance boosting, smooth skin tone and anti-dark spot molecules.
Vinoperfect’s exclusive Caudalie patent is viniferine which comes from the grapevine sap and is 62 times more effective than Vitamin C on the skin.
Relaxing on the heated bed, I was treated to almost an hour of delicious pampering. During the facial, hot and cold stones were used to boost the penetration of the products deeply into the skin and tighten the pores.
While the glycolic mask was left to work its magic, Lisa give me a wonderful hand and arm massage. As I drifted in to pamper heaven, I really did not want this treatment to end and could quite happily have had a wee snooze, I felt so relaxed.
Afterwards, Lisa advised me to refrain from washing my face until the next day to let the products soak in properly. My skin was silky smooth and even my husband remarked on how glowing it looked.
