The Russian vodka billionaire who has bought Scotland’s most expensive sporting estate in the Highlands now wants to recruit a night porter with a military background.
The Tulchan Estate, which had been owned by the Litchfield family, had an asking price of more than £25million.
It has been sold to a company owned by Mr Yuri Schefler, who according to Forbes is worth £1.34billion – and who plans more investment into the Strathspey estate.
Famous fishing guests have included King Edward VII, King George V, King George VI, ex-president Theodore Roosevelt, the railway financier William Vanderbilt and King Leopold of Belgium.
Now the estate has advertised for a night security porter which “may suit ex-military personnel or semi-retired person”.
It also wants a grounds and maintenance worker to cut the grass and other duties.
Mr Shefler, who has also been a regular guest at Tulchan, owns S.P.I. Group, which produces and sells alcohol under 380 brands in 160 countries.
According to Forbes the company is registered in Luxembourg but its main factories are in Latvia.
Its best known brand is Stolichnaya vodka, which Mr Shefler controversially bought from state-owned VVO Soyuzplodoimport in 1997.
