Golf legend Paul Lawrie sells Aberdeen mansion for almost £2 million

Golfer Paul Lawrie has sold his luxury mansion, which comes complete with its own “mini golf course”, for almost £2 million.
The former Open champion has offloaded the property in Aberdeen, which had been billed as a dream home for sports fanatics.
As well as a five bedroom Victorian villa, the home comes with a US Golf Association (USGA) standard chipping and putting green with a bunker in its three acres.
There is also a small fairway and two driving range nets for those who want to practice their swing.
It was put on the market for offers of more than £2.2 million last August but failed to find a buyer and was re-advertised in March at £1,975,000.
Property records have revealed it was sold earlier this month to a local couple for £1,950,000.
The sale still represents a profit for Mr Lawrie, 50, who snapped up the house in his home city for £855,000 shortly after winning the Open at Carnoustie in 1999.
The house is also kitted out with a gym and a games room with full-sized snooker table.
The 5,000 sq ft home in the city’s upmarket Bieldside area also features a library, a conservatory and a self contained cottage.
