Strutt & Parker’s Banchory office has expanded its letting department in response to the growing demand for property to rent in Aberdeenshire.
Rachel Tilley, lettings negotiator said: “For many years we have rented properties as part of our land management services, but there are a growing number of people who require family houses in this area and thus it seemed a logical step to expand this department to service the wider market.
“We have a vast portfolio of properties ranging
from two bedroom bothies to six or more bedroomed houses in both town and country locations. We
realise that many people who are moving to
this area have young families and therefore
require a family house. Due to the oil and gas industry Aberdeen has a large transient population for whom buying is not an ideal option. In 2013 we saw a surge in demand for privately rented properties for anything from two bedroom cottages to five bedroom castles and anything in between and beyond. We have noticed a high turnover of tenancies within the last couple of months and some properties have received successful applications before
the property has come to the open market. We see no sign of this slowing down.”
