Part of a site earmarked for more than 1,000 new homes next to a north-east town is up for sale.
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors is inviting offers of more than £2million for the “substantial residential development” at South Ugie.
The 16-acre site, with outline consent for the construction of 110 homes, is on the north side of the A90 about two miles north-west of Peterhead.
James Morrison, commercial agency associate at Shepherd, said: “This substantial site gives quick access to the local and national road network and town centre amenities.
“As such, we anticipate keen interest in this significant residential development opportunity.”
A 1,000-home “masterplan” for South Ugie, which also includes a health centre, primary school and provision for other amenities, was approved by members of Aberdeenshire Council’s Buchan area committee last August.
Knight Frank has been working on the overall development with landowner Susan Baxter and construction firm Buchan Brothers.
Designs were first unveiled in 2014 and the project was delayed last July, when Knight Frank was given more time to consult nearby residents.
