Accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael will host a commercial property tax seminar in Inverness next week.
The event, which takes place on Tuesday September 30 at the city’s Kingsmills Hotel, will focus on tax, changes to pension rules which can benefit investor and the upcoming change in Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) legislation.
“We are seeing a growing demand from developers, investors and owner occupiers for more sustainable buildings, which is being driven by ever increasing energy costs and government carbon legislation for commercial property,” said Johnston Carmichael head of property and construction Michael Murray, who is hosting the event.
“Part of the presentation will be discussion around the significant changes to the Scottish tax system that will be coming into place next year, and will transform the country’s tax landscape. It is critical that the correct planning and preparations are made in advance of these changes.”
