“We initially lived in Ferryhill and the children were at the international school when we decided to buy Cairn Cot, which was literally a cottage.

“We instantly fell in love with the gardens and we loved the look of the house, the balcony and spiral staircase, which we have also extended.”

“We have a cinema room and the house is wired throughout each room to have a TV/PlayStation, it also has a launch pad for charging your iPad on the wall.”

Also on the entrance level is the main bedroom suite with walk-in wardrobe and a beautiful ensuite shower room while a further double bedroom boasts wardrobe storage.

Meanwhile, the family bathroom is stylishly fitted and houses a wonderful freestanding bath.

“We also hosted my parent’s Golden Wedding anniversary and we set up a marquee for my daughter’s graduation.

“I have not had one person come into our house and not commented on how beautiful it is.”
