Two side-by-side cottages, which take pride of place in a painting by one of Scotland’s favoured and most recognised artists, are offering buyers the opportunity to purchase property on an island dubbed the “Hawaii of the North”.
Mo Dhachaidh and Sea View, located in Mannal on the Inner Hebridean Island of Tiree in Scotland, were the inspiration for popular Tanzanian-born artist Pam Carter in her beautiful Two Cottages painting. Pam has often said that she is inspired by the Scottish sea and landscape, highlighting the changing light sequences of the Western Isles as a significant motivation for her work.
The cottages, which are both detached traditional houses overlooking a sandy beach on the southwest of Tiree, have come on to the market through Oban-based estate agents Bell Ingram.
